Image Measuring and Viewing Tools

For the time being, Noobeed does not have an Image measuring and viewing tool. However, the next generation of Noobeed will provide tools for viewing, measuring and recording of images, in both 2D and 3D coordinate system.

There are a number of image viewing and measuring software available, either public domain or commercial. All of them are suitable for viewing images like TIF, BMP formats, both of which can be generated from Noobeed.

The user might want to check software like "ER Viewer" and "Geomatic FreeView". Both are available free from the internet. The first one allows users to save imagery as TIFF, JPEG, BMP and print them out. The later offers a large variety of image formats to be viewed, however, no capability to print and save.

To view data that are not 8 bits, the user can make use of an external function "doc2aux", available from External Function and Program Repository, to make a documentation file, ".AUX" for a generic binary, ".RAW", that can be viewed in Geomatic FreeView software. In other words, a generic binary file for "Geomatic FreeView" need one data file, ".RAW", which is the same format as Noobeed data file when using function "save", and one documentation file, ".AUX".
